This wine is part of their 'Tradition Range' of wines, as it is these wines of Fontanafredda - their historical ‘Silver Label’ wines which have built and made the brand famous in Italy and around the world. The fruit for this wine is sourced from vineyards located in the traditional DOC production areas of Piedmont. The vineyard team led by Danilo, focus their efforts upon and achieve consistent quality of their grapes parcels.

Which are grown in different soil types, varying from clay-marl to calcareous sands, and each site with its own unique climatic conditions. All of these small details combined are the characterizing elements which make this dynamic wine from Fontanafredda.
The majority of the fruit for this wine is owned by the company, with small parcels supplied by long term growers, who traditionally sell their entire crop to Fontanafredda. When the fruit was deemed ripe in late September, the harvested grapes were taken to the winery in boxes and immediately underwent a soft pressing, with separation of the free-run juice from the grape skins. The ‘must’ was then transferred into temperature controlled stainless steel tanks, where after chilling and static racking; it was fermented at a temperature of 18°C.
At the end of the fermentation, the wine was stored at 5°C to prevent any malolactic fermentation. The wine was then allowed to develop in stainless steel tanks for 4-5 months at cool temperatures, left on its fine lees to increase its aromatic complexity, texture and flavours on the palate. The wine was then cold stabilized, and bottled for 2-3 months before release the following summer.
In the glass you have an bright straw-yellow colour with greenish highlights. On the nose, the bouquet has exotic white flesh fruits, ripe apples, sweet pears, wild blossom and white honey. The palate is vibrant, with fresh citrus characters producing a lifted mouth-feel, and resulting in a crispy, fresh and lingering finish. Chill and serve at 8-10°C.

A crisp, lively and refreshing white wine.
